Looks like it would double as an excellent armed high-altitude airspeeder/skif/gig/flitter as well. I can see the hints of Buck Rodgers in there too, excellent job!

I love the engine placement. Almost like the N1's forward engine configuration, but nested under the frame instead on mounted on the wings.

It's a design that pops up regularly in my Lego models. It's based on the starfighters from Buck Rogers, designed by RMQ.
