Before watching this movie I've heard everyone on the internet saying it sucks. Which I got to thinking "How bad could it be?" As a 12 year old I remember liking this movie. With that said I don't believe I ever watched all 3 of them in order. Hell I don't even remember watching this movie on DVD until now.

Is this movie as bad as everyone says it is? Well lets tare this apart and find out. So lets start with the story. Prince Charming comes back (as expected really) and we start the movie on a very odd play? Yeah this movie is just weird. Maybe It's just me but this is the only good animated scene of the movie the rest is just weirdly bad animated.

Anyway Charming wants to become King so he waits until King Harold dies and goes and rattles up all the villian to be om his side. Oh and back to King Harolds death. Yeah we get to see it in all of it's glory. We litterally see a character in his death bed in this movie... in a kid's movie.

Which yeah I suppose death isn't all that bad of a thing but usually it is meaniful like Bambi's mom dying for example. Unless this is trying to parody Disney deaths. In reality it's not funny, disrespectful, last way too long, and I've seen it done before. So to start this movie makes fun of death... great.

Since King Harold died Shrek would become King but he doesn't want the position, so he must track down Arthur. "Everyday when you're walking dow-" No not that Arthur but however I would be down for that cross-over. Arthur is a highschool student and stereotype you've seen before. Along with the rest of highschool stereotypes you've seen before.

He doesn't fit in like Shrek. And his dad left him like Shrek almost left his. So a human and Shrek argue on a journey that the human doesn't wanna go on and fights with Shrek. Yep defintaly Fiona's cousin. Either that or the writers can't come up witn anything original.

And that is shown worse in the comedy. Remember the last two movie that had very crude humor that both adults and kids could find funny? Here the comedy is basically poop, fart, vomit, and burping. That is 90% of the jokes anyway. I didn't laugh through this whole movie by the way. Why did Shrek ask for the name of the guy that was gonna scratch his ass?

I don't have a problem with them no longer using curse words but toliet humor is where I draw the line. It can be done right I know but it doesn't need to be in every scene. Also we get to actually see vomit, honestly I'm surprised we don't see shit as well. This movie pisses me off.

Is this the worst Shrek movie? I don't remember Forever After so I can't really say but I don't see how it couldn't be. Maybe that's why they have a "What-If" story in that movie because who would want to continue off this story. Also Shrek 5 you're screwed you can no longer avoid it.
