Wow, I finally submitted something...
Anyway, this is more or less a teaser for a little project I've been working on alongside two heroes and Maxime. (well to call it a little project is a bit of a whopper. It's actually very very time consuming, because drawing sprites from scratch is a pain in the butt.)
As for the music, Is it a battle theme? Most likely, but for what I'm not saying.
Character's name is Ginnigan. More on him later.

a sprite from scratch, that is impressive. This guy is really cool. The detail, form, everything is excellent! I would love to play as this character in game.
So, I'm assuming it's an android/cyborg? I can live with the no pants thing if so (still bugs me XD).
And concerning the music, it's pretty good. You're better than when I last heard a song from you

For something scratch sprited this is done amazingly well, the shading especially. Can't wait to see a possible animated version of this guy, though I'm guessing that would be even more time consuming... Keep up the great work Ry'!

I hear ya on that one. Still though, this is a very nicely done sprite. I really like the color scheme you've chosen for him and that jacket looks great. Not that nothing else does, but that's just my personal favorite part of the sprite.
For the song, I know you hinted at it being a battle theme, but to me personally it sounds kind of like a character theme at parts. But then again, I actually know VERY little about composition, so...XD
It's a great piece though; I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining or second-guessing. I really did enjoy listening to it about ten times before posting this.

Reminds me a little of a child between Renamon and Fox McCloud in some kind of cyberpunk future.
That aside, gloriously pretty sprite, good sir.

Hmm, I don't like that guitar either. Actually, I really don't like any of the synths you used in this song. And there doesn't seem to be any kind of main melody to it like I'd expect in any good 'battle theme.' It's nothing I'm going to get stuck in my head, and the synths remind me of things like Pokemon R/S used that made me grind my teeth just to listen to. Still, it's always great to see new stuff from you.

Oh well, you won't like the soundtrack then.
But if you listen to some battle themes like the ones in Final Fantasy, you'll notice that many of them are freeform and don't actually have much of a main melody. As for the synths, I don't have any others that get the sort of sound I'm looking for, so I can't afford to be picky.
I loved the music in R/S btw.

I can understand that sort of lack of melody for certain battle themes, but for a fighting game or RPG, certain tunes really need to stick.
Really? The tunes from R/S weren't so bad, but the synths were absolutely horrifying.

He reminds me a lot of Samus, due to the coloration... I LIEK THAT LOL.
If this was made into a MUGEN char, Ryanide, that would be AWESOME. But hey, I understand the whole busy thing - same deal with me.

Wow, the sprite is really good! And the music..! Personally, I think this is one of your better ones. But that's only my opinion, haha.

This Ginnigan character of yours reminds me of a previous one you did, the Yoshida Sniper.. which I loved so much, but unfortunately you never put him in an animation O__o..

so are you making a full game with the MUGEN engine? I've kinda....lost interest in standalone MUGEN, so a full game would be a breath of fresh air for me (and many fans of yours

Forgive the quality of this comment. I'm about as musically literate as a tone-deaf wombat, and my descriptions are usually "I like this!" or "Eh, not my thing."
For what it's worth, this one falls into the "I like this!" category. I especially like the bit near 1:14 where something like an electric flute comes in.
I like the pacing of it - it felt halfway between the soundtrack of a racing game and a battle scene.
