I got this Action sent to me without a heads up and at the tail end of my deadline for Batman the Return. It was also just days before my local Long Beach Comic Con.

I ended up having to skip all but a few hours Saturday at the con to make the deadline which was kind of a bummer, I love doing cons.

I swear the Finch covers always come at the worst times, but there is no way I'm gonna pass them on to anyone else. No siree.

I did this one in 9 hours after doing a Batman page the day before and not sleeping at all. I was up for like forty hours or something. I can't really nap either because once I crash I don't wake up for an alarm. I have to be shaken awake.

There was some learning to be done on this piece. The reflections on Lex's armor range from really bad to pretty good I think. His right chest and shoulder is where I started and those parts are pretty rough, but I really like his left arm, especially the forearm.

Having to do this stuff fast may not produce the best piece but it forces you to not overthink things and to get better with the brush.

My favorite part was getting to ink Larfleeze. He is a f@cked up dude.

This was 90% brush, nib on the faces.
