Yeah these guys can be pretty vibrant in color. They are pretty common where I am from, but quite hard to get a decent photo of.
Lol no problem, it's a more sciency pun so I wasn't expecting many to.
INCOMING SCIENCE!!!!: MC1R is one of the key proteins involved in regulating mammalian skin and hair color. It is located on the plasma membrane of specialized cells known as melanocytes, which produce the pigment melanin through the process of melanogenesis. A mutation in this gene is what results in red hair.
So i'm calling the bird a red head. (I thought it was clever).
