Description I travelled in Peru for 6 weeks. One of the most memorable momments is this photo. Machu Picchu is the remenanats of an ancient civilisation that lived high in the mountains. A group of us trekked to this place for 2 days, at 5.00 in morning we trekked to the Sungate which the sun goes through exactly at a certain time shnining on the city in the skies, lucky for me the clouds werent blocking the view like it normally does. Sadly this foto was taken with a basic camera as i am still learning photography. Definantly a fav of mine and a great momment for me on my travels. Hope you enjoy.

its not that expensive to go to that place. the plane tickets the only thing. other than that the actual location isn't that hi altitude either.

Cool, I'm glad to see you like it over here in Peru. Even though I live in this country, I've only gone to Macchu Picchu a couple of times, and it is simply breathtaking. Sadly, I lost most of the pictures I took over there, so there's not much to see. I'll probably head over there on July or so, and this time I'm taking my digital camera

Oh yeah, and btw, it's Machu PiccHu, with the H.

This place I just have to go someday, I've always been fascinated by it, seeing this photo makes me think about it again.

You know, what fascinates me the most is how did they get water up there? Being almost at the top of a mountain, there can't be much smaller lakes that could provide their watersupply?

Anyhow, great shot, just wish it were sharper than this..

This is beautiful. I feel like I'm standig there. I've actually never left North America, but hope to do some traveling after I graduate with my BS, a few years down the road, I know, but it's my dream. I love the sun and the mist, it's really breathtaking.
