escaflowne was my first exposure to anime(when i was like 7 or something). so it's still a favorite of mine. you gotta love the midieval mechs! great piece.

FINALLY someone with GOOD LOOKING fan art. Escaflowne is amazing. the thing I thought was amazing about him was that he was a machine and at the same time alive which is made clear in the episode where Escaflowne kills all the dragon slayers. and in the last episdoe where Escaflowne starts to try and get Van off of its back.
