I don't really have words for this. Except for the ones I'm currently typing.
I just think it captures Asgore extremely well, his proud stature, yet his ability to, you know, have emotions.
I also got "Asgore" as my Undertale Character in a quiz.
So that's neat.

Yes, I agree. I really love Asgore, he's my favourite character in the game. I thought of this expression when he realized that he had to fight against Frisk, so I drew it c:

I love his character so much... what he stands for and what his presence emits... I really like to compare him to Iroh from the Avatar series (Which is my favourite character from any series)

He's a really conflicted character, but he's not like most of the characters of that kind. He's not gritty, he's not dark nor edgy. He's a really broken man who has lost EVERYTHING he cared about but still tries to keep united a kingdom that is slowly falling apart, he still keeps his ways, his habits. He's always mentioned during your whole journey, everybody constantly reminds you that, at the end, you will have to FIGHT Asgore. And when you finally meet him, he offers you a cup of tea.
This is why I love him so much.

At first I didn't think much of Asgore, but as the stories around him piled up I just grew so attached to him...Β
Especially the first Tape in the True Lab and the storie from the Turtle Shopkeeper (Gerson)

YES.
What makes him intresting is that he's just a normal guy. A father who loved his wife and his children.
But then EVERYTHING goes wrong. And what he does? He declares war, of course he would! I would too if I had lost TWO children in less then a DAY.
He may be the king of monsters but is one of the most HUMAN of them.
