You really have a way of portray both light and dark in your paintings. That big structure looks so ominous and yet the person in the foreground and the light around them makes it so hopeful. Same with your piece "The Journey". It looks like everything is engulfed in flames, yet the people on the boat look on as though they've just won a battle hard fought. Your art is just amazing!!

I don't know why for sure, but this one is making me both joyful and melancholy. Maybe that line underneath is reminding me of when you come to the end of a book or TV series you were really enjoying, the true end of that story, and you are sad that it is all over, there is no more, but you are so glad you were along for the ride. This is one way I know a series was really good.
