Description I looked up at the clock that was falling off the wall in my new apartment. It was four thirty in the morning. I had trouble sleeping and couldn't even eat anything. I didn't feel sick but something just seemed off. Felt like one of those days when you know something is going to turn sour. The paper I had left out on the table from the other day didn't help neither. "Killers still run free!" it read. Just another article to add to my collection of bad news this town has had ever since I arrived.
A few months ago I arrived in Grey Falls trying to locate a small group of ghouls that escaped from me. Ghouls that seemed to have been doing pretty good for themselves. More and more mutilated bodies turn up. Campers and homeless people alike are found dead along hiking trails and found floating in the river. The number of dead found is horrific for a town like this. But the number of people gone missing is even higher. My organization, the R.C.C.D., is starting to breath down my neck. They tell me that I need to clean up this mess…or General Freeman will be forced to step in. I needed to clear my head, but that's when my pager went off. It was Tom; he needed me to get down to the station and gear up. So I checked to see if my dog Max had enough food for the day, grabbed my badge and headed out the door.
By the time it was 4:50 I was already in the locker room suited up. I couldn't help but start to think back to when I was in that small little college town downstate. Everything seemed so less stressful then. My reminiscing was interrupted by Tom bursting through the door shouting my name. I laughed and gave an enthusiastic smile saying, "Tommy! Hey it's great to see ya and everything but could you keep it down. I mean Christ, not everyone has your energy this early in the morning" He gave me a motion to follow him so we had to continue our chat on the go. Tom was a good buddy of mine since before I transferred here. Back when I was in that college town he would periodically come down for a visit. He was even there when that family was killed by the father before they all got back up and started chewing on people, which led to the events that forced me to come to Grey Falls.
Tom told me that Lt. Sposato called everyone in for a mission briefing. I asked him in a sarcastic manner if anyone was even awake at this hour. Tom looked at me and said, "Just please for the love of God, don't say some smartass remark to piss of Sposato again" I laughed and said in response, "Oh come on Tom. Work just wouldn't be fun if I didn't"
When we arrived, Sposato was still looking over some notes so I couldn't help but once again thinking back to the events that occurred a few months ago. I thought about that family that died and reanimated. I wondered why the father shot his family. Was it in a fit of rage? Or did he know they were infected and didn't know the proper way to reinsure that they wouldn't rise? But if that was the case…how did they get infected? That was the thought that scared me. I remember checking their bodies. There were no bite marks on the victims. I couldn't keep thinking about the events in the past. I snapped myself out of it just in time for Lt. Sposato to begin his little lecture.
He looked across the room looking everyone in the eyes as he stated, "Just twenty five minutes ago, we received a 911 call from Draker's Technology. That computer manufacturing industry a few miles outside of town in case the new guys don't know. We believe that the building is currently under siege by an unknown force and number" Sergeant Cooper interrupted with, "Do we have a recording of the call? Do we have anything to go on that reinforces that the building is indeed under siege?" Cooper and Sposato never got along. I heard that there was some incident a few years back dealing with a hostage situation at a local supermarket. Something happened that resulted in Sposato being suspended for a while and ever since he returned to the force, Cooper hated his guts ever since. Always questioning Sposato and undermining his authority. Cooper was always trying to push him. Believing that rather being reinstated, he should have been thrown in jail for what he did and he should have been promoted to leader of S.W.A.T. it was childish if you ask me. Rather than response to Cooper's question with words he held up a tape recorder and played the call…

911: 911 what's your emergency?
*screams*
Caller: Please you have to hurry!
*pounding*
Caller: Please send someone now!
911 dispatcher:  Please calm down sir and tell me what is happening?
*screams*
*crying*
Person in background: Get something in front of the door!
Person in background: Did you see what they did to Bentley? They tore him to pieces
Caller: People…don't know how many…stumbled into the parking lot out of the woods
911 dispatcher: Go on sir
Caller: They looked sick so some of us went out to see if they needed help
Person in background: The door won't hold forever
Caller: Just give me a minute! I'm calling the police now!
911 dispatcher: Please sir, remain calm and tell me what else happened
Caller: These people just suddenly attacked us
*screams*
Caller: Before we knew it…there was just so many of them. We tried to lock the doors but the broke in
911 dispatcher: Are you or anyone else hurt?
Caller: They killed a lot of people here. Me and some of the other security guards and a few workers are holding up in an office
Person in background: It won't stop bleeding! Why won't it stop bleeding!?
Caller: Please help us!
*line goes dead*

Sposato never blinked through the whole thing. He put the recorder down and told us all to gear up.

And so Grey Falls... falls.
There was a lot of detail put into the recording, and it seemed very real. The story is as good as always, and I'm interested in hearing more about what Sposato did in the past.

Keep the good work up, soldier.
