PKMN:IA Cover PageAnd so it begins... Or atleast the scramble to build a buffer does anyway.
So the results of the poll and a few discussions with some other authors helped guide my decision. Here is who we ended up with.
Ace's Aura color is... a Clear Aqua Blue!
Ace's gender is Non-binary, and they will go by They/Them pronouns.
They have blue eyes, a Serious nature, and are often lost in thought.
What's that? you don't think that these were the most popular choices? Well you aren't Wrong... I instead went with the second most popular choices!
And I decided that PMD comics needed a non-binary main character after discussing it with fellow authors.
My apologies for asking for your input but not going with what most people wanted, but it did help me craft a character that I feel will stand out in the realm of Pokemon comics. I hope you will bear with me as we send this character on the journey of a lifetime!

while working on it I wanted to play around with making signs and words on buildings say funny things. it kinda just stuck at that point.
totes gonna make it a running gag throughout the comic as its story is going to be rather serious in tone. and background details like this will be a nice way to add some humor!

I will admit I am slightly upset to see this comic rebooted and Ace's gender changed from the one I am used to. =w=; it might be hard to follow since the comic story is getting changed again. But I will try to follow along man.

Question: Is Ace a boy or a girl?
Answer: Ace could be any gender you interpret them as. I portray them visually as Gender neutral for this reason, so I will never say its one or the other. In comic Ace will go by any pronoun used for them, though i'll usually stick to they/them/their as other characters aren't really sure of their gender either.

I have a few choice words for you mister. Can it, I am the author, and I know exactly what you are referring to, so let me make it clear to you that anything not on the smackjeeves site was not canon. Your hearing it from the authors mouth, ace's gender was ambiguous in pmdlg.

Ok dude first off I wasn't trying to be rude. You didn't need to tell me to shut up. Second off your story has had a few redraws and reboots. I get your trying to stick with one thing and I really understand that. I also have no issue with Ace's gender right now I am just confused as to what is going on and some people even told me that Ace was female before, it might be some misinformation on my part. I just want to recommend that you need to stick to one thing instead of redrawing and rebooting stuff, I get you are trying to do something that fits with the story. All I am saying is that you need to try and stick with one thing. If you have an issue with the story then try writing down a script then looking it over on what needs to be changed.
Again I have no issue with your changes and am looking forward to the reboot. I am just saying that as an Author and a comic-maker you need to try to stick with one thing. Otherwise your story will be all over the place. You may be the Author but its the fans who judge the outcome. I am not trying to sound mean in anyway I promise. I am only trying to keep a level head as to whats happening. So I ask that you please not be made at me. u.u

My apologies, I'm just salty because you were acting like you knew everything when you very clearly in my eyes did not. Yes I know I am indecisive and spontaneous as an author, but that's who I am. And clearly it got you confused.
Also, I do this for fun. I could care less if people don't like me changing or rebooting my story. So your critique is unneeded as I'll do whatever I want to whenever I need to deliver the kind of story i want to make.

Well if its for fun then I guess its another story. XD As a fellow story writter I do have a story I just make for fun because I like seeing my characters come to life a little. So much so I have to bother my friends to help get art for it done. Hell I have so many ideas in my head that I even have an animation I want done but with my lack of knowledge on art I sadly can not make it. So I have to rely on what I can get done now and wait impatiently for my story to be done. qwq

Are you talking about a certain website because if so, Rym creates alt versions for all genders to reflect on Ace's gender ambiguity. and for the record, most comic authors describe that "kind" of artwork as noncanonical and don't appreciate it being brought up in public outlets such as DA

This is a very nice style for a cover page! It's aesthetically pleasing and I think it also fits the kind of roughness and grit that the chapter has in store. Considering previous iterations, if I had to guess, things are also going to go somewhat badly very quickly before getting better.
I hope Cherie ends up having a bigger role, even though she's ... well, a clone, unless you changed that. She seems interesting and I'd like to get to understand her a bit more, even if you intend to do her in. Ruthe is also a good character and I definitely appears prominently again.
