In this damned cesspit of a city, two cutthroats find that darker things lurk in the deep shadows.

Anwyr, a criminal hitman, hired to take out petty thieves and small gang leaders to make some quick coin. At a young age, his family fortunes went up in flames as a consequence of another’s greed and he was cast into poverty. His lifetime of being used and discarded since has left him uncouth and untrusting. After all, everyone lies. Everyone has secrets.

Zarah, a fell-blood who has been many things; baker, street urchin, even briefly a monster hunter. But she has never found a place where she truly belongs. Years ago, one of the city’s secrets became her own, and its burden threatens to crush her. When she returns to Devil’s Port, she finds that her new knowledge sheds a darker light on its already shaded streets.

After a mysterious letter causes their paths to cross, Anwyr and Zarah decide to help each other. Their endeavours will be bloody and violent, and will bring them uncomfortably close to the wicked heart of the city. But the streets of Devil’s Port are the only home they have left, and they will do whatever it takes to survive.
