Description
Living nearly exclusively in the boreal forests of Canada, the Boreal Chickadee only breeds in a select few locations in the northernmost regions of the U.S. This spruce tree specialist is virtually never found outside of the boreal forest, where they feed on spruce seeds and insects. With its brown cap and nape and its chestnut flanks, these chickadees don't look like the typical Black-capped or Carolina Chickadee that many in the U.S. are familiar with. This is in my opinion, the best looking chickadee species in North America, and is one of my favorite birds.Rangeley, Maine

My first reaction was "what is this bird it's like a weirdly colored version of siberian tit..." (which is my favorite chickadee species). But it's a boreal chickadee... I've never heard of such species before. You learn something new every day
Anyway, it's a beautiful bird and photo.
