The Northern Gannet is a very interesting bird. They nest in colonies on offshore islands of the north (68% of the population nests off the coast of Great Britain), and spend most of their lives at sea. With a massive 70+ inch wingspan, they plunge-dive for fish from the air into the water, diving up to 130 feet!Nantucket Shoals
