A clearer view of the face of the sculpture.(this piece was honestly the hardest to get a good angle for photographing)

just curious though, are you particularly fond of Japanese things or just the sculpture/craftsmanship? I'm hoping my work posted here will help remind people of Japan and its current situation.

It is brilliant, I just can't understand why it hasn't got more recognition. It is great piece in it's own right but when coupled with the events of the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster the piece gains even greater meaning.
How big is it? It's hard to tell from the photo.

the white box is about 18"x10", and the flames reach out about a foot.

Meh, don't sweat it; DA gives the opportunity for people to post anything and have it be taken in by the community, for better or for worse. Either way, the opportunity to have the exposure as well as the chance to appreciate so much art is a gift.
