When I did this, I read the quote wrong and mistook the guard as someone who has been protecting a noble family for generations, which led to drawing inspiration from Greebo, that cat from Disc World.
Just that regal tom cat look seemed fitting for some reason.

*edit: for some reason I uploaded an old copy. This one has extra highlights on his uniform trim, texture, pipe smoke and a bit more cleanup.
