“Bee” in Japanese is “hachi”.
The associated kana and kanji: はち → 蜂

Hm, that gives me an idea for a story...
I've been struggling to make it work for a while, but i know so little about kana and kanji that i'll surely make a mess of it.

Oh, I’m merely a beginner of the Japanese language; first year of formal classroom study. Sentences I can form with confidence are:
- “That guy sitting in front of me with the glasses and purple T-shirt is really cute.”
- “I’ll go to the store to buy some groceries.”
- Sentences asking direct, simple questions
- Past tenses of those sentences mentioned above
- Negative forms of those sentences mentioned above (“I am not going to the store…”)
- “I think/they said” statements
What I can’t do is using the language with character, such as expressive dialogue. I’ve yet to fully understand all the nuances and this sort of “logistics” behind expressing with character like a native.
