Pilot's Gear for the Horus MS.
[link]

The suit used by Horus pilots is designed for use in the arid climate and desert environment that the Horus MS most frequently operates in. The pilot's softsuit is a climate-controlled g-suit constructed out of multiple fabric layers. The innermost layer is a permeable fabric designed for comfort. Another layer acts as a filter membrane that absorbs and desalinates body sweat by osmosis. Bladders around arms and legs are pumped with a non-compressible fluid (usually pure water) to compress limbs and major blood vessels during high-g periods. The fluid is distributed to the bladders by means of interconnected flexible hoses and a miniature pump. The fluid also disposes of excess body heat and is maintained at a comfortable temperature regardless of ambient temperature by means of a heat exchanger built into the pump. The fluid can also be drained from the system in an emergency. Body movement usually powers the circulation system, although high-G applications require an outside power source. An outer shell of ballistic polyamides, tough enough to stop shrapnel and other low-velocity projectiles, protects the entire suit.

Over the suit itself is worn a padded, soft-armour vest with rigid pectoral and back plates made of cermet composites. The same polyamide material used in the pilot suit is made thicker, giving much better ballistic protection and some ablative properties as well. The rigid plates, which are tough enough to resist infantry coilgun fire at medium ranges, also hold the powerpacks used by the softsuit's built-in pump. Armour for lower legs and forearms are also made of the same material.

A helmet, stylized after a falcon's head, is worn in conjunction with a thermal insulating hood. While quite conventional in construction, it does have its own air-conditioning system. The transparent faceshield also has an automatic polarizing filter. While a standard feature in most infantry helmets, it is rarely found in MS pilot helmets, as MS pilots usually rely on a totally synthetic construct projected by their opaque visor's visual displays.

Other features are removable, watertight cargo pouches suitable for use as canteens and belt pouches containing general and environment-specific survival equipment. The footgear has flat desert soles to aid in weight distribution on soft sand. The soles themselves have a regular shape which make it difficult to tell front from back. It should also be noted that the suit is not meant for operations in vacuum without special preparations.

The whole system reminds me of the Fremen stillsuits out of Frank Herbert's Dune series.

why the suit have a function of desalinates body sweat? can it be transform to drinking water or for fluid circulation system?

How about the vacuum operation? is the suit capable of adding life support system?

lol~that's lots of question just out of curiousity. by the way, that's an awesome design!

Yes, it can turn sweat into potable water via reverse osmosis membrane. It was basically inspired by the stillsuits from Dune.

Iirc, the suit requires an oxygen supply & a different helmet to operate properly in a vacuum.

Hmmmnn... Nice but what came into mind when I see this is not the design... Ever heard of the "Horus Heresy"?

Not before you mentioned it--but now I see that it's a CCG set in WH40K. I'm quite out of date when it comes to Games Workshop.

LOL! Never knew about the Card Game! The Horus Heresy was one that almost brought the Imperium down because of an attempted invasion on Ancient Terra. I didn't know they made it a card game.

My 40K history's very fuzzy. Was that how the Emperor ended up in his present state, or was that how the Chaos Marines came to be?

Neither. The Chaos came to be long ago. The Eldar already faought the likes of them before the Imperium began fighting them. This was the great attempt by Chaos on Ancient Terra. This is the reason why a billion battleships stand orbit on terra.
