At first I thought the game was pretty good. That was back when I drew this. I no longer feel that way. For those of you who haven't already purchased it don't. Here is why.1. Most importantly, worst ending ever. I won't ruin it, but trust me it's terrible. Worst final boss of all time as well. I can't think of a worse ending in all the hundreds of games I've played.
If you're playing it at the moment do yourself a favor and stop now before you soil any positive memories.
2. The game is too easy. You cannot lose. If you lose all of your health you get 'knocked out' which means you stand up in three seconds with a scar. The scar makes you less attractive but doesn't effect progress in the story whatsoever. This means you could with no skills and the first weapons in the game you can win any fight pushing one button. Fun!
3. Too short. The same problem the first game had. You can beat it in 6-7 hours if you go straight through the story. 3 of that will be story scenes you cannot skip. To be fair there is a lot of bonus quests you can do which will bump the possible play time to 15-20 hours.
4. You can't kill children. nuff said.
Sorry everyone, I don't mean to complain about it so much. I was just very dissapointed. If anyone is looking for a good game to play try Fallout 3. Truly the best came I've played all year. If you liked morrowind or oblivion you'll like fallout 3. If you like shooters you'll like fallout 3. If you like killing people by shooting hunks of human flash at them you'll like fallout 3.

I always find it odd that in sandbox games you can kill grannies or homeless people but never children, or the game simply doesnt have children, and yes fallout 3 is amazing.

I agree with you there- I was all psyched up for an awesome showdown- a battle to end all battles,but then- hmmm dissapointing.

This did irritate me slightly, but then how annoying would it get if, when you were battling a large group of bandits every time you died it would have to reload and be back from your last checkpoint?

You're not meant to go through the story! You can spend ages just going around, buying trading getting married buying a house- you can compete in the crucible as many times as you like- the list could go on for a very long time and my hands would ache from typing all the things you can do in this game!

What kind of sadist comment is that!!?? Why would you want to do that? I expect if you could do that it would probably just about crank the certificate up to an 18.

I hope that Fable III will meet your needs though- it does need a little tweak of improvement.

It sounds like you feel pretty closely to how I did. Looking back it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. It was... fun. Ironically I just finished reading a story on IGN's homepage about Fable 3. Here's the link if you're interested: [link]
I will probably buy Fable 3 when it is released despite my feeling towards the other 2. I like the idea. I will try to be open minded and without expectations.
Kinda related - If you want a game where your choices have real impact on the outcome I highly recommend Heavy Rain. Almost through it now and damn it is intense. Not for everyone, but incredible imo.

This game is bloody awesome. If you don't like it, that's on you. And if you want to be able to kill children... well... you need therapy... 'cause that's seriously disturbing, man.

The game was lame. I didn't enjoy it. For me to enjoy a game there needs to at least be a challenge. There is none in Fable 2. You CAN NOT lose. If your health drops all the way you get a scar, then you have more health = no death. Where is thef un in that? It's like a contest where everyone wins; unbearable.
If you had fun playing it that's cool, I won't think less of you.

Hmm, I suppose I must agree. If a game is not challenging, then where is the fun? I suppose the reason I enjoy this game is that you may change the outcome of many things with but a single choice... and fully evil and corrupt looks totally BADASS. So while I enjoy the game I can fully understand your dislike of it. Good day to you.

its not made to be rushed through take your time and explore the possibility
its made to be played more than once

Anticlimactic boss. it was irritating, but then, so was fighting hundreds of dremora and then finding that the emperors kills Dagon for you in oblivion. It was fun otherwise.

yeah, but it would take weeks to kill the stronger enemies without leveling up, besides, I like how they tried to get rid of the reloading bullshit most games use.
