This gorgeous animal looks like he should be ridden by one of those old-fashioned heroines as she is rescued by her prince. Either that or he would be petted to death at a children's petting zoo. He's just too pretty for words. And how in the world you managed to make his mane look so SOFT is beyond me. I swear I could feel it if I reach out and touch the screen. The way you have his eyes looking down shows his gentle nature. This is indeed one of the nobler creatures and you have done him justice.

I'm not sure how his mane came out that way, but his nose is particularly appealing to me. I just want to reach out and pet him continuously since I don't have a prince to go rescue lol

I thought about putting a brief summary of each breed in the description, but I thought that might be too much. You of all people know how wordy I get when writing and a short paragraph would likely turn into a page and a half of material lol
I honestly thought the mane would be the hardest part of this picture, but the head actually surpassed that. Shading a gray horse without scoring the paper is a pain! lol

The problem with my method and shading black is my hand tends to cramp up after the first two or three hours. Unfortunately I'm one of these people that once I start on a picture I don't want to put it down unless I absolutely can't hold a pencil any longer. Which is one reason why my sleep schedule is so out of wack. Three pics in three days, my bed is probably wondering if it will ever see me again.

I wish... When I owned horses I had two Arabians and a Standardbred, although an Andalusian was always a dream of mine. One Day I'll succeed in winning the lottery or robbing a bank and then I'll have a stable full of them
