Description
Wallowing and dwelling in self pity, sadness or despair; it offers its own form of protection in our own worlds, while crowning ourselves at its center. But this escape is not meant to stretch on forever. Its forest and eaves will eventually end and gape to a brink returning to reality.

I am really pleased with how it came out finally. I began this piece back in mid Decemeber- but the PLANTS. omg the PLANTS KEPT STUMPING ME. Sitting down and drawing them was like jumping a mental hurdle- but I'm glad I have the experience now.
Thank you for all the suggestions earlier! I must go to bed now, and wake up in time for an 8:00 am class... and the battle against DC's awful commute... urf.

I like the style and how bright it is and the little poem that goes with it. Melancholy! in the poem! It fits so well cuz that little island is so bright and happy that it's sad that its not the real world.

This is lovely! The hours you spent on this piece was well worth it, and those plants are looking mighty fine. 
I really like his expression as well. I can't help but notice that the spots on the base of the crown match his spot-markings.

Wow, I must say, you really outdid yourself. I REALLY love this, and words can totally not express how amazing it is. I just... wow. In your style, it's just beautiful. I LOVE the style of shading, the composition. I REALLY love the character (fox if I know my species). I love the expression and the concept, the whole king thing. I think you did a wonderful job on the plants. ^_^ You should definitely feel proud. :'D

the play with light is amazing. I love how the plants fade back and off the sides like that. Very smart choice to go with. Wonderful job all together.
