Ryo's major weakness is ice/cold. Although humans can die from freezing to death, Ryo's in more danger of that. His element is of fire and just like fire, he can't last long in cold.Now, this of course kinda saddened Zelda when her husband wouldn't go outside in the snow that first winter. It seemed that the children of the people as well as Eye and RebΓ© were having such great fun throwing snowballs, making snowmen and carving snow angels in the ground... So she got an idea. If cold is really the problem, then all she has to do is keep him warm. So, she spoke with the royal tailors about the problem, and this is the resulting outfit. Now with this, Ryo can join in the snow fun without a threat to his life.

Deities are gods, yes.
Ryo's still in mortal form. He has a body. That can die. It even did, once. But he was revived by his Mothers. Big story behind that.

In actuality, Link is. But Ryo's body has the maturity of someone older than Link. Ryo had a short moment if aging a bit faster.
I'm not too sure, myself, but I've always said "At-rin-ee-as".

This outfit has a bit of a different story in CotT, though. The story up there is one I thought was cute. But for CotT, it was still Zelda's idea.

By the by, I know you generally don't like the idea of using real fur for coats and stuff, but, what if it was [i]evil monster[/i] fur? Like, from those crazed Wolfos and Mothulas? The wolfos usually burn up in purple flame, but surely a better use one you've defended yourself could come about?

Well... uh... the idea of wearing any fur gives me the creeps. I mean... it's something's 'skin' (Or has been skinned? I dunno...) evil or not, which is... kinda gross.
Of course, if you want it to be like that, it's fine. I'm not sure if that just applies to Ryo or not, but I really can't see Zelda wanting to wear evil monster fur anyway.

Zelda, no, but it kinda fits Ryo for that, don't you think? I mean, he's always battling such monsters and materials like those are really really good at keeping people warm (and that's a big issue for him). Plus, it's kind of a wild man's thing, I guess. When you're in the wild, you know to waste nothing.
I just hope you don't hate me for that.
