Description THIS! Is my first photomanipulation. It was such a nice day out today . . . . so, why did I do such a sad, disturbing piece? Blame it on MCR. It's not overly done-up . . . it's meant to be subtle, so at a first glance you see just an old hearse, but at closer inspection, you see that the dead that it is carrying isn't wanting to go to their final resting place.

The original photo is of the 'ghost-horse'-drawn hearse in front of the Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. It was a bright, sunny day then, too. I opened it up in Photoshop 7, grayscaled it, and later added a slight sepia tone to age it. I then took a photo of myself cosplaying as Helena (I'm lame), flipped it, grayscaled it, shrunk it, shoved it in the hearse, blurred, poked, whatever to it and slapped the hands on either side (so happy I found those!) and did the same thing to them. Framed it with the lovely frame and then aged the photo further by using some new brushes. The result is what you see here. I did my best to make everything fit seamlessly . . . . XD; And I left it a slightly large size so you can see details. I would have edited the background to be a cemetery, but I thought that might be too hard. Luckily any and all tourists in the original shot have been taken out!

I used the following stock goodies:

The hands come from [link]
The frame comes from [link]
The stain brushes come from [link]

Edit: check out the original photo in my scraps! [link]

I've seen pictures, but have never been there. I have seen the one in Tokyo Disneyland, though Pretty much a carbon-copy of WDW's one, but still cool

I've seen pics and plenty of web sites. I'll send them to you if you want me to. ^^
Wait..it's already built!?! I heard there was going to be a voodoo Mansion in Hong Kong or Tokyo or something....
And apparently, (I just yahoo!ed images for the Tokyo Haunted Mansion) they get the NBC treatment!

Yeah, they do get the NBC treatment, and it's not fair T_T I wanna see it! (I love NBC!) You must mean the HK Disneyland attraction, since the Japanese Haunted Mansion has been around for years Ah, how i would love to work in that attraction for just one day . . . !

Agreed! (Same here) California used to have it but I think it's gone for good cause from what I heard Tim Burton made Disney shut it down because they used the NBC stuff without his permission considering he is the God of all NBC.

Maybe....ya. Ya that's probably it. ^^
Same here! When I get older I'm gonna stay a month in California and work at the Haunted Mansion....but there's one glitch: from what I hear there's a Disney college and you have to go there for a year or so...

I've worked for Walt Disney World for almost ten years, and there's no Disney College XD There is a College Program, which brings in college kids from all over the US (and some foreign countries) to live in Disney-supplied housing for 3, 6, or 12 months. There they work at one of the theme parks or resorts, and maybe take a few classes on hospitality. It's not a lot of pay, but it can give you college credit and a nice break.

For awhile down here in Florida, they did have a Disney Institute, where guests could take a few classes as kind of an extra-curricular activity, but they revamped it into a new Vacation Club. I'm an encyclopedia of useless(?) Disney information

Ok then my bad.
Ah, I understand. ^^

It's not useless, it could actually help somebody who wants to know things for Disney. ^^

Wow very subtle and nicely done,although I keep looking at the bright white part near the top so that is a little distracting in my opinion.The figure is seamless though,I thought the hands were actually yours

Ah, the shiny part near the left? The sun was directly in the camera's lens when I took it, I guess ;

I THINK the hands are mine, but they're actually stock. I'ms till surprised I got it to look that decent--I even printed it out on photo paper and it looks good o_o;

Ha, now if only I could get a ride to get it. My mom's already convinced I'm going gothic (yeah, cuz all goths really shop at freaking KOHL'S. ) and my dad works till Best Buy closes, and I can't drive. I'd ask a senior friend to drive me, but Best Buy's kind of WAY out of the way. (My only forms moneyz is 2 $10 gift cards to Best Buy, so that's where I need to get the CD T~T)

Of course.

She looks at all my freaking clothes, too. All of my clothes get checked by her first, THEN bought. (with the exception of my Ring O Fire MCR hoodie XD) So I don't get what her problem is, because if she didn't like something then she shouldn't have bought it for me! ><

Parents are weird like that. It's like . . . . why drop you off at a mall with money if the folks are gonna chew you out for buying a black shirt or two?

Obviously I'm out of the house now, but even now my mother makes the comments 9_9; Don't let the (wo)man bring you down!

. . . . Buy a pink MCR shirt XD; (I'm sure some exist XD)
