My entry for 's monstrostories contest, my character golden frog based on the frog prince.

Before in his previous life, the strange amphibian being known as "the golden frog" was in his previous life a prince named William, William in his previous life was a very spoiled prince because they always fulfilled all his whims since he was a baby, He was desperate to find a partner to marry and become a king. But soon he would end up paying for his bad character, being enchanted by a witch that turns him into a small talking golden frog, and the curse would only be broken if he could find true love despite what he became.
Forced to search among swamps and forests to someone who wanted to be a frog, he found a bright golden ball which belonged to a princess, with cunning William blackmail the princess with taking him to his palace and in exchange he would return the ball, the princess did not have another position since the ball was very important for her being a gift from her deceased father.
The princess had to fulfill the whims of the frog to return the gift of his father, but over time the princess and the frog became friends, causing something in William to change since he never had a friendship that did not have what to do with being rich In a gesture of friendship William decided to free the princess of the deal and return the golden ball, the princess as a thank you tried to kiss her, with which the frog would be William again. Unfortunately the witch's spell had something else that William did not know, William had turned into a poisonous frog and the princess barely rosed her lips on the frog fell seriously ill, and the spell only broke halfway since William became part human but still half frog; and the castle guards found a half-amphibious being guilty of poisoning the princess. Become a fugitive, William, now called the golden frog, used his curse as a gift and his sword techniques learned in his previous life ready to find the witch who bewitched him and find an antidote to save his princess, carrying the golden ball as a reminder not to fail your best friend.
