Description As I had said time ago, the concept of Galar fossil pokemon being a species of hybrids of different dinosaurs, is based on the anecdote that British archaeologists erroneously rebuilt dinosaur skeletons with some fossils of different species. I love this idea of creating your own combination of pokemon, but the only inconvenience is that each fossil is one half of four prehistoric pokemon species, but without the other halves of the fossils, it is completely unknown what pokemon were each Half when they were complete. This mystery is very similar to Genesect, which is a modified version of an extinct pokemon, but it was never known how this pokemon was when it was still alive.

And that's why I decided to make my version of what each half would be like when they were complete millions of years ago, and if I didn't include rock-type, it's because it is before fossilizing.

VELOZOLT (Veloz - Jolt)
-Type: Electric
-Energetic Pokemon
-Dex: "A pretty energetic and joker pokemon, which at the same time makes it a great hunter, thanks to the electricity generated by its body, can beat its own speed record."

DRACODRILL (Draco (Dragon in latin) - Drill)
-Type: Dragon
-Pokemon
-Dex: "Unlike VELOZOLT, these pokemon were not for horseplay, they are bloodthirsty warriors whose battle scars are part of their skin, with their large horns they can carry the force of a bulldozer."

DUNKLEVISH (Dunkleosteus - Fish)
-Type: Water
-Jawed Pokemon
-Dex: "The sharp teeth of this pokemon used them to split to the hardest bone, which meant that it did not leave the leftovers of the prey it hunts."

ARCTONESS (Arctic - Ness)
-Type: Ice
-Legend Pokemon
-Dex: "It is said that this pokemon was born from an iceberg as old as history, there are legends in the Galar region that there is an ARCTONESS still alive in frozen lakes."

Those are more like it! I agree that the forms we saw are weird, but I acknowledge that they are inspired from the Crystal Palace dinosaurs. I hope we'll see something like this in either Isle or Armor and Crown Tundra. That is if we can find the other halves of those fossils.

I personally think the the Fossilized Dino was a Mosasaur instead of a Plesiosaur. But to each his own. And did you get Velozolt and Dunkevish's names from this video? All Galar fossil pokemon reconstructed! - YouTube

That's true, but remember Sharpedo? When was the last time you saw a half shark swimming around? Also check out the link in my comment. That Mosasaur Pokemon makes WAY too much sense.

True but once again, look at an actual torpedo. If anything, Sharpedo is just the front end of one. You know, the part that goes boom. If it had a full body, it would actually look like a torpedo AND a shark. I mean, look at Barraskewda. THAT thing looks like a torpedo AND a barracuda. Oh, and I meant Liopleurodon. Still makes more sense than a plesiosaur.

I agree the chimeric fossils are based from the concept of British architects mixing some fossils and dinosaurs around and in this idea GameFreak had succeeded to replicate this concept. Still it gives us the question how the Galarian fossils would look if restored properly. Your cases fit very well and also fit in the Galarian Pokémon art style (as seen by Arctoness, which is also a nice notch around the Loch Ness).

I swear, if Game Freak releases an "Ultra Sword and Ultra Shield" but doesn't add in a way to properly restore the Galar fossils, then I completely have no faith them (Even though I already lost most of my faith in them after it was revealed that they lied about the models).

They never lied about the models, it was a mistranslation that hate bandwagoners blew out of proportion. If anything the ones who lied where the haters spreading the misinformation.

Really? So the news wasn't true? But they reused models for past Pokémon when they said that the reason for cutting Pokémon was to make all new models.

AlolaDelphox In reply to DrewBoy89 [2019-12-21 15:42:17 +0000 UTC]

It's been known for a long time now, since as early as X&Y actually, that the character models used in the 3DS games were made for HD graphics but then compressed to fit on a 3DS, which also goes to explain the framerate issues in the 3DS games, Sword/Shield would the first time these models would be used proper and if you noticed the models move more fuidly than before with almost no framerate issues outside online mutliplayer so they did see improvements when translated to HD graphics. There was never anything said about making new models entirely, that was purely an intentiinal mistranslation that the haters jumped into for the sake of hating and the clickbait rant Youtubers spread it for easy views without bothering to do any research.

YES! Someone who realizes that Arcto- is supposed to be a plesiosaur! Everyone seems to assume it's a seal for some reason. Everyone who doesn't think it's an ichthyosaur or mosasaur at least (which at least makes more sense than it being a seal).

Only in the English version. The Japanese version calls it "Fossilized Plesiosaur", which anatomically speaking makes more sense.
