Oooooh...nice one! I especially like the light and shadow in the flowers in the foreground. And the blue in the water in this one is super pretty, just like the last!   I wonder though...heehee, did you find that you gave a little extra attention to blending the blues in the water? I feel if the same amount of detail were given to the colors in the foreground and background scapes, it would be an instant step further in the image as a whole!

Thanks! It wasn't really extra attention to the water, it was just easier to do With no objects, just a big area of one colour blending into the next one, I didn't have to pay much attention to the shapes, so I could press the pencils on the paper a little harder. I'm quite happy with how the background turned out, but the foreground not so much. The flowers should have more details, but that makes it much more difficult to get the colours intense. Hm, maybe I'll go back to that and try to improve it, especially the one on the right side.
And thanks for pointing these things out, that's really helpful to me

Lol, I totally get what you mean about the foreground flowers (shit's haaaard, haha). It might not be so obvious, but at first glance when seeing the image as a smaller thumbnail size (before clicking to view it in full), the foreground flowers actually read really well. What that tells me...*channeling that ol' illustration class stuff I still somewhat rememberrr* is the placement of the light and shadow areas totally works!

I think it might be a matter of getting the lighter spots of the highlights even lighter and the darker spots of the shadows darker (especially the bits receiving a lot less of the light like beneath or in between the flowers). I dunno if you could...somehow...experiment...lol. But I bet it's not even so much about getting the colors deeper as it might be getting a wider range of darks and lights for the foreground. Omg, I totally remember getting dinged on this same exact thing on assignments before, hahaha! It definitely was a thing I had to work on for that forest illustration thing I posted somewhere on here...

But yeeeah...I think that would punch out the details in all the things in the foreground a little more.   I think that would also increase the sense of depth in a drawing like this, too! More definition in the foreground VS a bit more faded and unfocused in the background? Sorry for such a long response, lol. Just so many memories about difficult details I've struggled with before, too! I hope some of this might help/be useful!

It's updated. I made the blossoms a bit lighter and the background of the flower on the right side darker. Besides, I think the line between the water and the beach at the bottom was a bit too hard, I made that softer. What do you think? Feel free to let all the old illustration class stuff out

Omg yeeesss...it's definitely an improvement! I'm like...holy crap! Lol, I can't even tell that changes were made. Like, as in I see no "oopsie" spots or erasures or anything!   How do you do that with such richly applied color pencils? Haha, even in simple graphite, all my doodles have erase marks and crap I can't get rid of everywhere. But yeah! You go, gurl! The foreground flowers look soo nice and crisp. I think it's great because the eyes definitely seem drawn to them more now than before. Keep it up!

Thanks! It's crazy how well the erasing works with the pencils, I can get even dark colours back to almost white, and when I draw over it you can't see a thing. Aaand even the paper survives that without damage

This one got a nice frame and a place in my room now
