But who said Daria was meant to be depressed? This is the best non cartoon style image of Daria that I've seen. Her hair is wrong, to me... It's still in cartoon land. But in her face you've drawn a very plausible 'real' daria. How would you sum up Daria in a few words? I'd say she's kind of plain, very bright and funny in a smart arsed way. That is exactly what I see in this face. Well done!

I thought a bit more about this... I guess Daria doesn't smile much on the show. You know, I think she likes you. She was enjoying having her portrait painted and maybe you were laughing at her jokes while you were painting.
