Description finally finished up this old project. i got the idea for this from the great website Polycount (if you are interested in modeling for video games, this is a phenomenal site to checkout). some of the members made the characters from team fortress 2 in a low poly style. so after being inspired by their work, i thought i'd give it a shot with the characters from left 4 dead 2. i gave myself the restriction of not going over 500 tris for each character or 80 tris for the weapons (didn't always work out with the weapons lol). i also put a cap on the textures, none over 256x256, no normal maps or specularity maps, but alpha maps were ok. all in all, i learned a lot from it and the challenge of trying to use every pixel and poly to its full potential was quite fun. if you're into modeling, i highly suggest trying to recreate one of your favorite video game character as a low poly model!
