Best pairing ever! And best ages for both, because Vegeta is so damned short and its so awkward to think of an older, taller Gohan submitting to Vegeta (and he would submit because the Prince of Saiyans doesn't submit to anyone blablabla)!

You know, for some reason I kinda love this pairing. I think it's something to do with them having backgrounds that are mirror images of each other: Both lost their fathers at a young age, both were trained by said fathers' alien enemies, and lets face it, both had to grow up way too damn fast.
Difference is Gohan got his family back, and unlike Frieza, Piccolo didn't stay evil. It's sort of a "there but for the grace of God go I" thing.
