A little present for my dev-watchers

This is my 2nd Vector piece in all....and probably my favourite piece of work so far.

Stats:
Layers-Nearly 400 [Facial Contour and Layout]
98.9% Vector...[only a few raster layers that had to be merged]
Probably a total of 40 hours went into this.....but i feel so good knowing it's finished

This piece is supposed to call upon concepts of graffiti. While creating a graffiti piece most artist wear a gas mask. That is why I chose the stok image and decided to create a vector of it.
THIS IS NOT A PHOTO. The featured face in this piece was constructed with an array of vector shapes individually created by me...using the pen tool. In other words this is like in design basics...when students were assigned the hole punch composition project. In which they had to convey an entire image using it as a refrence and trying to mimic the values the original or stock image incorporated. Except this isnt made out of small circles. It's quite a bit more advanced and took about 22 to complete the face. This one went along alot slower than my first because i wanted the contours to be as accurate as possible. You can think of the portrait vectoring process liek tracing. You paste the stock image at the bottom and then begin to mimic the shapes you see below. Things like hair are a bit more difficult though because you have to freestyle most of the time. I didnt look at the stock at all between the time she was bald and the time the whole piece was complete.

Vector- Definition : Vector shapes &/or layers are calculated by equsions. These equasions decide the perfect arrangement of pixels to convey a steady ling. In normal raster layers...trying to create something like this is hopeless. All of your curves and contours look extremely pixelated and edgy. This is because the only angle a raster layer can convey properly is a 45 degree angle. Vector layers are defined by equasions...so nomatter how you move mold or bend them...their edges are perfectly straight. I can show you a better example of this at school tomorrow.
