Description
Section 31 is a clandestine organisation within Starfleet. It answers to no one and is able to take any means necessary to defend the federation from it's enemies.The organisation has no insignia since it is not officially acknowledged to exist by Starfleet or the Federation.
This is my idea of the insignia, one that doesn't name it as Section31 but the detail in the delta shield would imply to those in the know, to know that it is

Marvelous! Reminds me of the series "The Twilight Zone" with that keyhole in the middle. Also, they seem to know where the USS Quantum is. They are not saying.........

It's a nice logo- a good one. There's no denying that. However, I personally never saw a reason for Section 31- other than to give Starfleet a darker side it didn't need.
I just can't see Section 31 fitting into GR's original vision of the future.

I totally agree with you. The whole point of the federation is that it stood as a society on all its own merits, prinicpals and morals.
To add Section31 to the equation as a necessary evil suggests that without section31 the Federation could never have lasted. GR wouldnt have allowed it.
However despite it not fitting into GR's utopia there's still a very realistic and exciting element to the idea of Section31. One of the many reasons why DS9 was my favourite Trek

It's a nice idea. Just a shame the Delta is so blurry and therefore hard to make out that it's suppose to be a keyhole. Plus I would suggest maybe a dark-ish grey instead of the yellow based on the attire we have seen Section 31 operatives wear. Mainly grey or black. Or you could make it shades of grey or shades of grey with yellow or blue even.
Still a very nice idea.

It's meant to blurry since there is no detail to be scrutinised. The Sectino31 organistaion is deeply secretive and murky, and the blur reflects that.
I was thinking of going grey - however since S31 doesn't "exist" there's no reason to try it with S31 colours. Thanks a lot for the critique. I appreciate it.

Well, just a few thoughts really. I had a feeling the blurriness may have been on purpose, just wasn't sure.

I like it better that way, but that's only my opinion. The needs of the many outweight the needs of the few... or one.
