The little balls are sin. The girl is looking up at God. Though it may seem like she's holding on to her sin, she's actually--you guessed it--letting it slip from her wrist.

The model maybe needs a little bit of contrast and a decrease of luminosity, just slightly...
And the "grass" (forgot the word in english -_-') might be a bit too green, when I compare to the whole night atmosphere

Beautiful. My first thought was that the little balls were so pretty just floating around. Then I read your description that the balls were sin, and it occured to me that sin can be beautiful, on the surface. But just below the surface, it is a gruesome monster waiting for you to let your guard down. Just some thoughts while viewing your image

Very interesting...Visually stunning...very sombre.
I had just the opposite interpretation of it.
I thought the lights were happy things...you know, those bits of love, prayers, friends and angels that God sends to us to light our otherwise wintery world.

that's a very good take on it. It's kind of like "this little light of mine, i'm gonna let it shine"

It reminds me of a dream. Dancing in the fields, dancing a tune I remember from Japan. ^.^ hehe.
Eveyrything looks like a dream, a painting. She even looks more fluid then if she where real, very happy. As I might do on a rainy day (I love to dance in the rain- quite literaly).
That is what I am reminded of.
