Actually, the AK-47 was also featured in Half-Life 2 Beta but it was scrapped and unused before the actual release in 2004

True, the AK-47 is a legendary unforgettable assault rifle made by the Russians (not the Chinese Norinco Type 56) and it should be in the game after Counter-Strike 1.6 of that time. I wish they still kept the MP5k in the game so that the MP7 would not be the only SMG in HL2 including those old guns from HL1.
