A bastard sword made of Old Iron, gifted to Haltharn by the Knight of Emerald Fields, Dumas de Laccapel, at the start of his swordmaster's trial. Stronger and lighter than steel and worth more than its weight in gold, it remains his faithful companion.

"He reached for the sword and unsheathed it. The guard and handle were of fine make - subtle, but ornate in ways that only someone who knew weapons would catch. Fine leather around the handle, gentle twistings on the quillions, a diamond encrusted into the pommel. The blade, however, was something else entirely. Lighter than most swords that size Hal had ever held.

It reached out, made of layers of mixed bright and dark metal that overlapped in waves. Before the Tower War, Haltharn had tried to make such a blade, but he could never have hoped to attain such beauty. It was a work of art, not a weapon."

Tried my hand at making a pattern-welded look for blade on this one, and I'm exceedingly pleased with the results!
