This shot is among my favourite discoveries on DA... I love it!
The foreground is so sharp, the background is busy... and yet the focus sits calmly on the guy on the bench. I love the way you've framed the shot, and the colour saturation that you've chosen. You've got a very professional looking frame from a spontaneous opportunity.

Pick it up if you get the chance. It is most definitely my fav of theirs.
As for the aussie perspective...
One thing to understand, all the aussies i've hung out with have been surfers. For about 5 years in a row, i spent 2 or 3 months during the winter (dec-feb) hanging out in hawaii, with bunches of aussie surfer boys and faaaaar tooooo many illegal fireworks. Get the picture? Had an absolute blast and loved every one of em to death. But, you guys are fuckin nuts! The 6am bottle rockets under the bed get old after the 30th time! Not really actually. I still laugh my ass off just thinking about it. Honestly, i think i enjoy the aussie sense of humor more than any other on this planet. I dont know where it comes from, but you guys have it.
