Wasn't too good on quality...but thought I'd share it anyway.

This is one of my favorite self portraits of you. Because the camera kind of focuses on the wool, and blurs out everything in the background, so it makes it different than others.
& I like the expression on your face.....

Aww, thank you! That's one of the reasons why I still liked the photo. Because even though my eyes weren't focused, the sweater was..

i thought it was meant to be that way by focusing on the whool fabric on your shoulder to express a feeling of comfort and a certain vulnerability. well it's a nice picture anyway

Well, it was auto focus. But I thought it was nice anyway, and yes, I did want the sweater to be focussed. ;D

That's a real beautiful photograph you show here. The softness is wonderful and the contrasts of your skin and your close is very nice. The posing is great. I love it!

This is a beautiful self portrait! I love your expression and pose, as well as how good it goes along with the soft fabric. I like the background colour too and how well it goes with the other tones. I have been taking self portraits with the 50mm as well.. and so far have only tried handheld ones, which as you know you gotta outstretch your hand quite a bit. I was wondering if you could tell me how you took this one, with a tripod on timer? Remote? I'm looking to experiment with new ways to take self portraits.

Aww, thank you so very much!!
I'm really glad you like it. It wasn't the proper focus or what I was imagining in my head, but it was the idea I had at least, hehe.. It's hard and the lighting isn't too great in my room with one window.

Yes, holding the camera means holding it pretty far with the 50mm! Sometimes if I don't change lenses and I'm with friends, I can't really take pictures with them since it's too zoomed in.

I took this one that way though. I stretched out my arm and took it.
I don't have a remote, but would love one! They're really cheap too, I just keep forgetting to ask my dad if we could order one.

If you don't see my arms in a photo, or both hands, and it's a close up, then I most likely held the camera myself...

Feel free to ask as many questions as you want! I LOVE answering them.

You're very welcome. I really know what you mean about the lighting... I shoot many self portraits using just the light from my window and focus can sure be a challenge too. Ever since I bought a protective UV filter for the 50mm I had an easier time, since I could see my reflection in the lens. Haha, I have the same problem with friends too, there will be a group and I have to run far back to fit them all in the pic. They're probably so confused. Anyway, thank you for answering my question! This is a fantastic self portrait, especially for handheld.

Haha! Yes, running far back to capture a group photo... I do that and I wonder if they think I'm weird? I try to explain how it's zoomed in, pretty much.

Annnyway, thanks!
