Yeah, so what’s the moral of this little story? Never, ever accept Tsunade’s saké beverages. It will only lead to tragedy. Well, look at Gaara’s face! Don’t you call that a tragedy??

The actual source is from episode 429 of ‘Naruto Shippuden’. I’d say watching this episode just for the sole reason to see that silly expression Gaara is wearing is good enough for me. As for Killer Bee... As much as I love the guy, he definitely acted like a total nitwit upon seeing Tsunade for the entire duration of that scene. Poor sensible Gaara, on the other hand, was concerned for wee Shukaku. (I adored the SD concept for the tailed beasts in this two-parter. So cute)

Also, we see once more what a naive character Gaara can be. He was so clueless as to why Killer Bee suddenly started to behave like such a dork, unlike Naruto. I like that; I respect that. *nod nod*

Anyway, when I saw this moment, I knew I had to play around with it a little. Since like that they do look sort of drunk, and we all know Gaara and alcohol are not buddies, I imagined Bee still going on about a certain lack of apparel for Tsunade, and Gaara singing something random. (Unfortunately for him, that’s the song I had stuck in my head at the time)

I tweaked a few things, removed some unnecessary details, and tossed in my signature and stamp of zaniness - the wee cheetah, ‘cause I love ‘em - it also wanted to play around on Gaara’s gourd. There’s also the little kitty prints, because I just am a dork for all felines. I can promise you all, I did /not/ tamper with Gaara’s face! Blame that on the mischievous animators.

Now, I need to go and prepare some coffee and see if I can sober up these two knuckleheads...
