Oil painting on canvas board 50X60 cm - Well, it really seems i am attracted by the moonlight seascapes
This is a newer edition, i tried to correct things and i guess this is a completely different painting... So i changed also the title "Dance under the moonlight"...

Cadmium Red

This is really beautiful. I love the contrast of the dark blue and the bright orange. Even though the ocean looks scary, she makes it seem okay haha.

thanks for your kind comment..Well, when i get a main idea of what i want to paint,at the end, composition itself guides me to different paths of what i had immagined before i start painting..In this case, when i started to draw this gipsy woman, i placed her in the center of canvas and as the main subject of the composition at first she had bigger dimensions, covering at least 80 % of total surface !! Anyway, when i started to paint the background , i decided to give more space to it, in order to express the sense of freedom that comes out from the open air seascape. In few words, i brought background in the center of eyes attention, and i moved the figure at the edge of the paint. I probably should have painted a smaller figure from a distance, so there should be a greater impression of freedom in the atmosphere but i'm not pretty sure that woman's figure would attract attention anymore. Thank you very much !! Anyway, orange & blue are complementary colors, and they fit pretty well together using the right values of them (light against dark) !!
