Description
The violin has been returned to its origin
Mother Nature herself.Just a random drawing that was inspired by a description of the strings instrument. It was *supposed* to look as if it was made out of glass... I failed. Miserably. T_T
Please don't ask why it is blue...my scanner is the one to blame. Grr!
Constructive criticism is encouraged.

Very nice idea and drawing style indeed. The shading is a bit grainy though, maybe because of the scanning, I don't know...Anyway, I particularly like the fluidity of the composition! Well done!

Doesn't have a violin have a chin rest and shoulder support on one side of the base? Great Job though!

Hmm, I'm no violinist, but yes, I think so. o.o
But in this case I was afraid the inclusion of those two might interrupt the melding of the base and the violin, so I eliminated them (and consequently forgot violins had them at all until now

This may be just the way it was saved, but you can see alot of the grain in the picture. It's a little distracting and harsh on the eyes. Also, I can't really tell where your light source is coming from. The shading seems kind of random and all over the place. I would suggest picking a definite place to have the light coming from, and then shading accordingly.

Oh...the violin was *supposed* to be made of glass, you see, and glass tends to refract/reflect light differently @__@ I think. Or maybe that's just me.
I agree about the shading, though. Will blend it with tissues later if it hasn't settled in too permanently.
