        One of the most beautiful women to ever serve the Order of the Dragon Riders, Ilira Dragonheart (nee Delphine), is as cunning and ferocious as she is stunning, making her a formidable warrior, (added to by the fact that she rides a powerful dragoness named Galatea, whose skill in battle is extensive). Only one man has ever won her heart; her beloved husband, Hughnen Dragonheart (whom she has been married to for more than 90 years ever since they met on the battlefield). She is also the mother of the famous Kaine Dragonheart, and loves her son very much, readily becoming his teacher when Hughnen disappeared into the Dark Chasm, much to her grief. Despite this loss, she has continued in active duty for 135 years.

             In addition to this, she wields a bright amethyst single-handed sword named Windfire, and is close friends with Kaine’s dwarven squad-mate Arnen and his dragon Korak, who flew as her previous wingman in her old squadron. However, for all her prowess and incredible feats, Ilira has one major flaw; she is prone to fainting spells that can only be remedied by daily drinking of strong medicinal tea: an ailment caused by a badly-concocted spell cast by an enemy. Without it, she would become weak, and quite possibly die if left without it too long.
