Meet Korak Azurewing. The dragon partner of dwarves dragon rider Arnen Sledgefang, Korak is the joker and clown of his outfit. He is also the oldest dragon in his squadron, having served for over 134 years (making him well into his prime adulthood) before stepping down as Squadron co-leader. A tenacious prankster, he's never short of puns and pranks to keep his comrades in good spirits, and his enemies off their game. His rider hates his pranks, mostly because the ever-serious dwarf is often the butt of his dragon's jokes or the victim of his many schemes, but they can prove exceedingly useful in battle as booby traps to insure victory for their allies, or no escape for the Dark Corps platoons stupid enough to set them off.

A revision sketch of one of my characters from my novel, The Dragon Riders: The Crystal Hearts. Korak needed a much better makeover, and so, I gave him a much more noble-looking and expressive face. Just like humans can express emotions with their eyebrows, dragons like Korak can use their brow ridges, lips and eyes the same way.
