Description
Seen in Elephant Valley of the San Diego Safari Park. The world's largest land mammal (and land animal) today, this intelligent herbivore is a herd animal, living in herds of cows and calves, while bulls either live alone or in bachelor herds. However, since last year (2021), this species is sadly listed as endangered, due to habitat loss and poaching for their tusks. That's why conservation is very important to all elephants, including the African bush elephant , as conservationists and rangers are in the battleground to protect this species and other elephants (along with other wildlife in great need of a helping hand).
