Here is Dawn and Sammy sitting side by side together. Dawn is a ring-tailed mongoose and Sammy is the largest mammalian predator in all of Madagascar, the Fossa. It looks like the mini version of a cougar, the size of a medium-sized dog. It may look cat-like, but the fossa is more closely related to the mongooses and civets (cat-like carnivores). Although Sammy is free from her sister, Amy, since they both grown up and had to leave their mother's territory to claim their own (and Sammy manages to find a piece of turf with everything she needs and where her sister wont be able to bother or steal from her), Sammy feels lonely since no one (not even lemurs, the fossa's favorite prey) would be brave enough to get close to her since, after all, she is an apex predator species, no matter how hard she tries to show that she is a nice and friendly fossa. Dawn, however can see that Sammy is a really nice fossa is only hunting for friendship and a friend is all she needs. Right now, Dawn is comforting Sammy and agrees to be her friend. Good choice too, since a fossa can also protect you from other vicious animals that want to hurt you. Also hunting can be more easy with teamwork/partnership. I was bord and interested to see how Sammy would turn out as a fossa and I'd say, she looks awesome. So does Dawn.
