I recently posted a picture of a model I'd made of my adopted OC, Fylak. At the time he didn't have his lantern. I've been messing around with Phosphorescent printer filament, so now, at last, he has his lantern; and it works!
No batteries required!
Fylak and his lantern were made with a 3D pen and PLA filament.
