I wrote a critique about this lovely photograph, only to find out i wasn't allowed to post iot as one because I’m not a premium member.
So I’ll just post it here in the comments.
‘A very serial and peaceful photo that almost looks like it was taken from a dream. This photo has a great sense of movement. She looks as though she just barely turned her head to look behind her, hair following her sudden moment. What has managed to get to attention I can’t help but wonder?
Fantastic colors and lightning everything seems set in one tone. It almost looks as though it came straight from story book or a dream. The source of light behind her head illuminates her hair, making it almost glow. In fact the hair was one of the things that attracted me to this photo, to make a photo truly great you need a aspect of life to it, the hair gives it just that. Her face is shrouded by her hair. This make the girl seem almost unreal aspect and leaves much to the imagination.
When I took a second look at this photo my eyes couldn’t help but be drawn down to the key around her neck. It seems so solid and so clear compared to the rest of the photo. I find myself trying to look for a deeper meaning behind it.
Photographs are meant to aspire and make us think about them, their meaning and how they affect us. ‘Tired of wishing’ has managed to do just that.’
