Oh, really? Ahh... Heh, I'd have played the PS1 games myself, but... lived with my folks back then, and they were a bit stingy. Here's to hoping it comes out on PSN.

I'd love to see a more streamlined game though.. even digi world 4 on ps2 had like 5 minute loading times to move from one screen to another.. don't think it'll happen though - digimon died so long ago 
seen the cartoons? I managed to see all of them up to frontier or something, but then even that was in german so it was a tad hard to understand everything. mmyeah

The anime? Yeah. Gotta watch it in the original language. Some of the changes are just ridiculous. Worst thing? The series has Crowning Music of Awsome in the original, but when it's localized, they strip the music in favor of... that... that... STUFF... >_>
Not to mention pointless changes like Plotmon → Salamon and Tailmon → Gatomon. I can tolerate changing the human names to an extend, but the digimon? The etymology comes from all over the world. There's really no reason to change it, you know? Doing so just leads to confusion when you get an Original name that's the same as a pre-existing dub name...
Try the DS games, by the way. They're pretty good. Except Championship, skip that one.

well my knowledge of the different series is pretty messed up.. went off air in england like a decade ago and I've been catching episodes in french, german and spanish since XD

Yeah, it's one of the rare instances where the voices are fine, but everything else got messed up. Usually people complain about the voices in anime, but digimon didn't do that bad of a job at all. It's just that they messed up the music and pointlessly changed some of the digimon names, but enough to where they can't even make their minds up sometimes. For example, they use IceLeomon and Panjyamon interchangeably. It's the same digimon... so why is it going by two names in the dub? Can't they just pick one and stick with it?
Don't get me started on how Disney made them change BomberNanimon into "Citramon". I'm not kidding. They tuned the living bomb digimon into an orange.
