A simple, but noble idea of wanderer offspring.
The black outlines are a different look, but do not fit with the overall backdrop nor do the two beings themselves look or feel like they fit the scene correctly at all, this is something I feel should have been implemented.
The background is well-presented, and although seems lacking in a manner that was evident in the original design, which of course gave it that truly atmospheric feel of a desert with a story, this still (in my mind) fulfills that notion whenever I see it; the lush, peach-coloured sands shaped out by wind and the memories it carries, like an ocean forged around a forgotten island.
The flurry of clouds embedded at the mountain's foot are fantastic, they are brought out well and give it that deeper, more detailed feel to the ensemble of scattered sunlight that isn't even made present here.
Overall, whilst I feel there is a lot missing from this work (such things as cloth creatures, or vague depictions of the crumbling cityscape that was engulfed by the sands), I also get a warm essence brimming within from simply the effort that went into making a piece like this. Tiny wanderer of the sands or not~ (=>,<e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Another small thing I imagined that would be a lovely input is to have the 2 beings as they are center-illustrated still, but also frolicking in the background amongst the sands and the curious creatures that accomodate it. I'll leave the impact of that thought itself for you to indulge in; great work!

Thank you very much for your critique. Other then changing the black outlines of the characters, what is a way I could make it so they fit better?

Well, i'll be honest, i'm unsure.
If I had an adamant knowledge of computer graphics capabilities i'd be happy to oblige.
But for what I can at least try to get through, this could be pulled off in a number of ways, and I think what comes as a conundrum to me as deciding for you (y'see how heavy I get), is that I don't really know your style of art....
But as for ideas:
-The Parent and Child as they are, but as seperate images to the background, fainter, like it is animated and it is transcending from a close view of them to a high-angle long shot heading towards the mountain, which you have already in place.
-Slightly rougher drawings of the 2, at the forefront of the desert, to fit a rough match of the atmospheric view of desert heatwaves, it depends on what you have really gone for in this picture, as one can go too far in the aspect of detail; an environment can easily be made to look a farsight harsher than it is supposed to come across, i'm just trying to describe that little bit that is needed to make it authentic.
-A harsher tone set on the desert itself, the shadows of overlapping dunes made thicker and vibrant as dust blows thinly along them.
These are very fine details, but unfortunately all I can muster to increase this piece's quality. I'm sorry if I come across as critical, for I am not creative, just very fussy.

Actually, the white one is also a normal Journeyer, you can get a white cloak when you get a certain trophy. ^^

Me to. Before I even knew about the white cloak I saw someone in it and was like "where did you get THAT!" lol. But now I have one so I feel like a pro. XD

No... It's just the pink sand surfing part. That one symbol on top of one of the ledge that's giving me trouble :<

oh, well you can fly in those sections. As for the one in the second part, as you go down there's a middle section, there's a ramp you need to jump off and the cloth creatures lift you to it when you jump off it. ^^
