This is just a dragon I made up, but I named him Thorn, after the red dragon in the fantastic Eragon inheritance cycle.Love that series, love dragons
Tried out a completely new colouring technique, and though that made me take much longer to finish this, it's definitely one of the more (semi)realistic paintings I've ever done. Hope to do more like them soon

You have a really strong composition here, and the dragon looks really cool. I like what you did with the coloring as well. However, some stronger darks in the mist in the background might help the dragon stand out more and be more dynamic

Thank you. I did initially try some dark streaks, but couldn't quite pull it off.. Then when I washed out the sky to try again, I actually thought it looked fairly decent, so I left it as was, which is what it currently is... But I'll definitely try again if you think it might help

Lol, he's too new a character for me to favourite just yet, especially seeing how we don't even know what his personality or anything is like.. But you can tell he'll be veeeery interesting, and I can't wait to see how things between him and Saphira and Murtagh and Eragon will play out
