Wanted to draw some family portraits with Kagome, Sesshomaru, and their little girl Yumi (AKA my fanbaby) because I've been working really hard on their doujinshi. Oh and why it's not posted up yet? I'm probably over thinking it a little--okay, more like A LOT. I just want to keep them true to their characters! And my reaction for them when they find out Kagome's preggers is, in short, very shojo-esk. So this is why it's taking so long.
Anyway, so I googled 'mother and daughter' and really loved all the pictures that came up, but I really wanted to do this one [link] in my own style and colored.
I really like how it came out
Except for Yumi's kimono; it looks too much like Rin's
Sess and Kagome and Yumi belong to their respective owners

Yay for fanbabies!!!
Here's somethings I love about this picture:
1. Thank you so much for not drawing any youkai marks on this precious girl. Every fanbaby I have seen (no matter how cute they are) have had Sesshomaru's markings on them when they are in regular half-demon form. Inuyasha does not have his father's marking, only when he is full demon. And for some reason it just irks me a little. So thank you for that.

Well Rin, in a way, is her Aunt so it's okay that she looks kinda the same.

I like how you didn't give her a whole bunch of facial markings like Sesshoumaru, which so many other people tend to do when they're inventing hanyou babies for him. I'm going to stick to the firm conviction I have that any hanyou children he would happen to have would actually have WHITE hair, like Inuyasha, though...

lol like I mentioned before, she wasn't intentionally meant to be their kid; she was supposed to be Rin and Shippo's kid. But I just changed my mind at the last second, so it was a pretty impulsive decision.
Why do you believe that his hanyou children would have white hair? And I agree, the hanyou children having his exact markings are a bit played out, aren't they?

Ah. I didn't read that part, I guess.
It fits. Inu no Taishou and Izayoi had a kid with white hair, right? That's why, when people who make up kids who look like little Sesshoumarus, I find it a little irritating. Doesn't anybody notice that Inuyasha isn't exactly a carbon copy of his dad?
Lol. But that's just me getting wrapped up in the details, probably.
