thanks! i like the treble clef you did. what type of wire was it? it looked too shiny to be normal craft wire

thank you and yea, it is that shabby old silver plated copper wire >.< I hate it, but real silver is sooo expensive =/

ahhh! silver i never buy any silver because i'm too stingy and i found silver wire too hard compared to normal craft wire.

your quote is also very nice - never thought about it like that before

My quote? hahaha, seems stupider every time I read it, I put it there so many years ago... You think silver is too hard though? I prefer it, mainly because all the cheapo craft wire is coated in this clear lacquer/plastic that inevitably starts peeling/flaking off when I work with it, and it's impossible to get it all off and it just looks like a fuzzy mess. Also, you can file down silver and it will still be silver, if this stuff even gets scraped or anything, the copper shows, it looks tacky to me. You can do all kinds of cool stuff with silver though, solder it, forge it, hammer/form it, whatever you want. Overall just makes me feel that if I do sell my stuff, it should be at a dollar store >.<

haha - perhaps time for a change then? and i dunno - the alloy of silver i got was pretty hard and wrapping it was a nightmare. I know how you mean about the filing - so i avoid it quite a bit. But the craft wire i use is plated and not with coated with plastic (granted, i have worked with that type of wire before)

speaking of hammering - i still haven't tried that technique yet - i should really give it a go - maybe finally make another piece.. haven't touched wire in ages... :S

>.< DO IT UP!!! I love your style and ideas. I guess you're right though, silver is pretty hard, but at least with that it will hold it's shape a whole lot better. The craft wire is terrible, that's supposed to make it tarnish resistant, but all it does it come off -_-
